Our projects

Opportunity: This project benefits from a government incentive in India that provides wild land to impoverished low-caste individuals. If the land is transformed and cultivated for five years, they gain long-term land security, significantly enhancing their economic stability and future prospects. Simliar opportunities can be utilised in other countries across Asia and Africa.

Objective: The Fish Pond Project aims to establish a sustainable source of food and income for impoverished communities by developing fish ponds over 2 acres of land. With an investment of USD 12,000, this initiative can yield substantial returns. Each acre is expected to produce approximately 6,000 kg of fish annually, with a market value of around USD 1.20 per kg, resulting in annual revenue of USD 7,200 per acre, totaling USD 14,400 for the 2-acre fish pond. After accounting for costs such as fish seed, feed, and maintenance (approximately USD 5,000 per acre), the projected annual profit is around USD 4,400. This project not only ensures a reliable food source but also creates long-term employment opportunities and significantly contributes to the local economy.

Next Step: Partner with us to uplift more low-caste families out of poverty and scale this pilot project to the next level. Your support will help us expand this successful model, providing sustainable livelihoods and fostering economic growth in these underserved communities.

Opportunity: This project benefits from a government incentive in India that offers wild land to poor people, which they can keep if it is transformed and cultivated for five years, ensuring long-term land security. Simliar opportunities can be utilised in other countries across Asia and Africa.

Objective: The Organic Basmati Rice Project involves cultivating organic Basmati rice on 4 acres of land with a total investment of USD 10,000. In the initial years, each acre is expected to yield approximately 2 x 1,600 kg of organic Basmati rice, with a conservative market price of USD 1.50 per kg. This results in annual revenue of USD 5,400 per acre, totaling USD 21,600 for the 4-acre plot. After covering costs such as seeds, organic fertilizers, and labor (estimated at USD 3,200 per acre), the projected annual profit in the first years is around USD 4,800. This project not only ensures a reliable food source but also creates long-term employment opportunities and significantly contributes to the local economy.

Next Step: We can increase profit for low-caste farmers by providing processing and packaging equipment. Furthermore we can reproduce this successful pilot project in other communities, providing sustainable livelihoods and fostering economic growth.

Entrepreneurship and Farming

Fish Ponds Project (India)
Organic Basmati Rice Project (India)
Organic Spice Project (Sri Lanka)

Opportunity: In Sri Lanka's central highlands, generations of smallholder farmers cultivate valuable spices and coffee on ancestral lands. These farmers struggle due to lack of support, limited market access, and inability to invest, often selling at low prices to middlemen.

Objective: The Sri Lankan Spice and Coffee Farmer Empowerment Project aims to improve the situation of smallholder farmers. We will:

  • Organize farmers into cooperatives

  • Provide training on sustainable practices and quality control

  • Establish a central processing and storage facility

  • Create direct links to buyers

Currently, farmers earn about USD 500 annually. We aim to triple this to USD 1,500 within three years by eliminating middlemen, improving quality, and accessing premium markets.

Next Step: We plan to invest in small-scale processing equipment for value-added products and develop a unique brand identity. As the project succeeds, we'll expand to other regions, helping more farmers build sustainable livelihoods and break the cycle of poverty.

Upliftment for Children

Opportunity: Education is a fundamental right, yet millions of children around the world face significant obstacles in accessing it. Through our connections with trusted local partners and our dedicated support, our Education for Children projects aim to empower children from the most marginalized communities in Asia and Africa.

Objectives: The Education for Children projects in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Uganda, and Ethiopia focus on facilitating access to education for children from the lowest social strata. Many children in these communities face severe challenges, such as poor hygiene, lack of transportation, insufficient food, shelter and clothing, all of which hinder their ability to attend school regularly. By providing essential resources like clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, and preparatory training, as well as arranging transportation, these projects ensure that children can access education more easily.

Next Steps: Partner with us to uplift more marginalized children out of poverty by scaling our successful pilot projects to the next level. Your support will help us expand our reach, providing these children with the education and opportunities they deserve.

Education and Community

Education for Community Leaders

Opportunity: The Education for Community Leaders project is crucial for ensuring sustainable development within communities. By equipping community leaders with comprehensive training, the project empowers them to drive positive change and sustainable development.

Objectives: Our projects provide training in ethics, leadership, community development, and economic sustainability. Graduates celebrate their achievements with a graduation ceremony, symbolizing their readiness to take their leadership role to its full potential. In partnership with local teams we have successfully trained multiple cohorts, ensuring that community leaders are well-prepared to foster development.

Next Steps: Partner with us to expand the Education for Community Leaders project. Your support will enable us to train more leaders, ensuring sustainable development and positive change in their communities. Together, we can build a stronger future.

Peace Initiatives in Ethiopia

Leveraging the successful strategies used in South Africa's transition from apartheid to democracy, this project aims to foster reconciliation and peace.

Objectives: This project engages community leaders to spread messages of reconciliation and peace. Led by Cherez Tschopp and Markus Ghighi, this ongoing effort aims to contribute to ending the conflict and restoring social cohesion in Ethiopia. By facilitating interfaith dialogue and building trust, the project addresses the root causes of conflict and promotes sustainable peace.

Next Steps: Join us in supporting the Peace Initiatives in Ethiopia. Your partnership will help us expand our efforts to promote reconciliation and peace, ultimately contributing to a more stable and harmonious society. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the quest for peace.

Children’s Homes in Thailand and Sri Lanka

Opportunity: Many children in Thailand and Sri Lanka face extreme poverty, lack of education, and inadequate living conditions. The establishment of children’s homes provides a safe, nurturing environment where these children can grow and thrive.

Objectives: The Children’s Homes project in Thailand and Indonesia focuses on creating safe havens for vulnerable children. These homes will provide shelter, nutrition, education, and emotional support. By partnering with local communities and organizations, we aim to create a holistic environment where children can overcome the challenges they face and develop to their full potential. With secure housing, regular meals, and access to education, these children will have the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty.

Next Steps: Partner with us to build and sustain Children’s Homes in Thailand and Indonesia. Your support will help us provide a stable, supportive environment for these children, offering them hope and a chance for a brighter future. Together, we can transform lives and create lasting change.

Equipping Hospital in Ethiopia  quipping

Opportunity: In Hawassa, Ethiopia, a newly constructed hospital stands ready to serve the poor, but lacks essential equipment and expertise to provide quality care. By equipping this hospital and bringing in Swiss specialists, we can transform it into a fully functional medical facility, making a substantial impact on healthcare delivery for underserved communities.

Objective: The Ethiopian Hospital Activation Project aims to operationalize the existing hospital structure by:

  1. Installing essential medical equipment and furnishings

  2. Bringing Swiss specialists for training and mentorship

  3. Establishing telemedicine capabilities

  4. Implementing sustainable operations systems

This project will transform an empty building into a functioning hospital within 1 year, significantly improving healthcare access and quality for the local population.

Next Step: To ensure long-term sustainability, we'll develop partnerships with local medical schools and explore opportunities to replicate this model in other underserved regions. This approach will help create a network of well-equipped hospitals with access to international expertise, providing quality healthcare to many Ethiopians currently lacking adequate medical services.

Direct Aid and Volunteer Programs

Opportunity: The Direct Aid and Volunteer Programs provide immediate assistance to the most vulnerable populations through partnerships with local organizations. Volunteers offer direct support to widows, leprosy patients, and the blind, distributing food and providing practical and emotional support.
